For a quick getaway from Newcastle, one can drive for about 40 minutes northeast to go to Port Stephens. It's a nice small marina town offering a diverse range of activities, like scuba diving (in shipwrecks and around sharks and rays), sand dune boarding and dolphin & whale watching. A few weeks ago we went there and now photos follow, late as usual.
